Comfort Centre at Lower Granville Hall
Your Local Hub in Times of Emergency
Lower Granville Hall is now an officially designated Comfort Centre (via the Municipality of Annapolis County), ready to provide support to our community during power outages, severe weather events, or other emergencies.
Thanks to generous grants and community support, our Hall is equipped with:
✅ A generator to maintain essential power
✅ Free public Wi-Fi provided by Xplore
✅ An Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
✅ First Aid kit
✅ Emergency heating/cooling, device charging stations, and basic comforts

When We Open
The Comfort Centre will be activated during major outages or emergencies in coordination with Annapolis County REMO (Regional Emergency Management Organization).
➡️ Watch for the “Comfort Centre OPEN” sign posted outside the Hall at 3551 Granville Road.
We’ll also post updates to our Facebook page and through our email newsletter.
Services Available When Activated
When open, the Hall may provide:
- A warm/cool space to sit and connect with neighbours
- Device charging
- Light refreshments and bottled water (as available)
- Basic first aid kit
- Emergency information and updates
Please note: Providing food is not one of our mandates, but light snacks may be available, and services depend on volunteer availability and weather conditions.
Bringing Pets
We understand pets are part of the family. While animals are generally not allowed inside the Hall (except service animals), we will do our best to accommodate your needs. Please reach out to us in advance or speak with a volunteer during emergencies for options.
